Looking for information about hiring, email us at info@susangoldbergsearch.com.
We look forward to planning webinars and seminars about the basics of hiring in the future. Please check back periodically for any announcements about these discussions.
This section is to help you formulate your hiring needs so that you can visualize what and who you are looking for; this is the first rule in being clear about your requirements and the purpose of hiring. Also, this section is the main ingredient for writing a position or job description. The more clear you can be, the better for your own purposes both for hiring and for evaluating the person's performance once they have been in the position for a time. Job descriptions should be updated at least once a year if not every six months.

Three Chief Steps of Hiring

  1. Define the position in as much detail as possible (responsibilities, reporting and managing relationships (dotted line as well as direct), goals for the position, expectations).

  2. Define the qualities, skills, characteristics, values necessary for the position. (what makes an executive right for the position has less to do with their resume and skills and more to do with: their potential fit within the organization; what they can bring to the business; if you want to work with them, like them and respect them).

  3. Define the entire compensation package including incentives and benefits and your comfort zone for negotiation purposes.

Now you are ready to begin the hiring process. When you are ready, Susan Goldberg Executive Search Consulting is ready to work with you.
